Waiting

Yo! It's been a while since I posted anything, but it's only because almost everything I've been doing is some kind of top secret. So here's a project I've been working. Character designs for a writer I've been working closely with lately, Jim Gourley, who's on his way to the comics world like me! Just finished a couple sequential pages for this story, for his pitch package. I can't post any of em yet, but he's been sending them to every publishing company he could think of so I think we have a pretty good chance of making something happen, but who knows....

I think as of right now I'm in the crappiest part of the comics biz there is. "The Waiting Period." It's the point where you start putting your stuff out there, talking to artists and editors, pretty much introducing yourself to the world. But then all the editors are either trying to figure if your good enough or old enough, because there is always an overflow of either REALLY crappy art, or REALLY awesome art, n if your like me, the average stuff just gets lost in the bunch. (how are people getting so good nowadays, so insane...) or they keep you on "stand-by" until something arrives, and depending on how much they know you personally, could take longer than expected......Like they say, "it's not what you know, it's who you know".... ya know?

... and that what grinds my gears. lol, sorry just had to say it.
But naw, I think I have good things coming my way pretty soon. Marvel, here I come!!
